Hi
Might be a silly question but to me it seems that it should be a straight forward swap as I can get a full 1999 Sport. Is there any problems I could run into fitting the engine, box etc into my 96 1.2 corsa???
Cheers for the help

Be some fannying around on the engine mount bracket on the chassis leg if you want to keep the PAS... If you want to drop the PAS then its a case of swapping out the engine and loom

Right... I have PAS in mine alright, no air con so that can come off the 99 one as its not needed... Suppose its not impossiable anyway, its should be all fairly easy to sort... if a V6 can get in there like...

No No I have a 96 1.2 8v Corsa
Can get my hands on a 99 Corsa 1.6 sport with Mantzel etc etc.. Bodywork on it isn't great but engine seems very tidy thats why I want to transplant to my own as I've owned it 5 years and was only the 2 owner from new.. Only 60k on my own now like.. So it should be just a direct swap of Engine, box, loom etc???

Got my Sport anyway.. She was brought in from the UK Jan 08..Not sure what I'll do yet.. Keep her and add my stuff to it or transfer engine to my own corsa... Decisions Decisions..

My Current Corsa

And Engine Bay

What do people advise me to do?? I presume my Four pots, coilovers etc would swap straight across?

i'd just swap your parts over to the newer corsa, a lot easier than an engine swap

put your bits on the sport, and make yours standard again, sell yours and with the money you get make the sport look great

Ya maybe.. Starting to like the Sport the more I look at it.. Suppose I should wait until I check her out underneat and see how solid she is.. Like would it be sacrilege to break up a sport Happy with the performance though.. Animal to go
