If i was to change my front brakes to some ferodo pads would i actually notice any difference? and would i benifit from better disks or is it more down to the caliper and size of the disk that affects the braking?

oh and more importantly if i did but better pads on would it make the abs come on more frequently or less frequently?

Wouldn't make a diff to the abs mate,

Ive got ferodo on mine with Torox G88 disks and its spot on, Although I can get them to fade easy. But on road you'll be spot on mate. I had this set up on my Williams Clio and it was good on that too.

what ferrodo pads are you reffering to?

DS2500 are a great all round pad, DS3000 are too much for a road car.

You'll notice an improvement in braking. Less/No fade, more bite etc.

If your tyres and susp are crap you may find it much easier to lock up the brakes.

If your discs arent fucked, dont change them. You wont notice any real gains for changing discs (unless bigger)

well abs currently likes to kick in more than id like it to, but i also feel like the brakes are utter shite .

thats why i was looking for better pads but going off that i imagine it will make the abs kick in more seen as it does it now.

edit: oh and i was looking at the ds2500 ones which suggested they were fro track so looked at the ferodo performance pads which were for road use

i use same set up as col004, Tarox G88's with DS2500 and i rate them very high indeed.

DS2500 are fast road use, I use them on my everyday car My Friend uses them on his E30 325 with standard BMW Discs he likes them.

DS2500 are the nuts

One of the best things I have got for my car. Giving them loads of abuse of track days and havent managed to fade them at all

Only downer is they produce a lot of dust but I can live with that for what they offer
