HERE
What's the crack with these? Any good, or is that a silly question?
The Forge version is £700+ for the Audi, yet these can be had for £170ish with best offer. That's quite a price difference!
Call me cheap, but I didn't want to lay out a load of cash on this car anyway, but I would like to do a couple of bits if possible.
Just wondering if they're worthwhile basically or whether its gonna be the old chestnut where I'll actually lose power
Many thanks

I can imagine me buying it and never getting round to fitting it
TBH, my main concern is the fitting. Might be worth a crack at £170 anyway.
If I just replaced it for the standard intercooler it'd run fine right? i.e. It wouldn't need to get a remap (although I do plan on getting one anyway).

if you're serious about its performance you will need a remap. Cooler air temps etc.
But if not - it'll be fine

they're are ok but the air flow isn't as great as it would be with a Forge or other branded ones. This is where the differance is. Its fine to say that "ah the weld's look ok" but what your really interested in is whats going on inside and how good the intercooler is actually cooling the air, So the intake air temps are lower.
Don't get me wrong alot of people use them fine but i personally wouldn't/won't be using one on my let.

see my inlet temps are lovely with my ebay special. id rather not pay 6x as much for something that is the same as the cheaper effort. products that work are what i like. im not into splashing cash for name dropping purposes.
