Got this last friday for a good price its a xsi with a gti engine

It is fairly quick and handles nice. i can see what all the hype is about tbh, they are just rev happy!!

It does need abit of tlc but its a project and might even get turned into a track slag

Iv fallen in love with it Tbh it gives alot of bigger cars a run for there money. I would love to track slag it.

I had the Oil pump replaced on the 1.8 and it wasn't fitted right, ran the engine dry and spun a shell, still runs weirdly. New engine is going in that monday

currently got a front strut brace, lowered springs with standard struts on the front (unsure what the struts are)

Drilled and grooved front discs, with vented discs on the rear

Rear torsion bar, but its yellow with Gmax dampers, is this a whole new part from Gmax or are the dampers only Gmax.

Still learning about these

Good choice! Decat system, 4-2-1/4-1 manifold and good induction kit will see around 140bhp. Get it stripped and you'll shame a hell of a lot of bigger motors!
