hey people , looking at putting a 1.4 sport engine into my nieces 1ltr corsa b , just wanted to know what i needed from the donor car ? ecu wise really , is there any kind of immobiliser box i should be using etc , or is it just the loom and ecu i need , any help is much appriciated .

theres a chip in the 1.4 sport key, and the black box on the steering colume thats part of the chip

Much easier just buying one that came with a 1.4 from the factory.

Vauxhall make various corsas with a 1.4 engine.

Waste of time imo to go to the trouble of converting a 1.0 when you can just sell it and get a 1.4 for the same money.

What if hes got the car and the 1.0 is fuked and hes got a 1400 for free or not much ££

cheers for the helpfull post john , its my nieces first car , 1ltr with a busted bottom end . the car is in mint condition on a V plate with calibra cream leather lowered etc etc . looking at the cost of a new bottom end or parts etc for the 1ltr ( and the hassle of ripping it apart , i can get a complete 1.4 sport engine from my local breakers very cheap,this is why ive asked.rung my friend before who works at the breakers and they dont have the key .are the ecus unlockable the same as peugeots ? anyone know ?
