I noticed Audi dealers around London wanted more for the A3s they had for sale when I was looking for mine. Identical ones up here at Audi dealers were much more realisticly priced!

Have you done any proper research in to this wild claim or are you basing it on one car you bought once? Crazy.

That was in response to the 'northern cars are rusty' statement, not the thread. Sorry for being unclear. I agree with the thread.

No research as such but it was an off the cuff comment really as someone else had mentioned the rust problem too!

Basically its because the southerners are gullable and will pay daft money for crap. Also us northerners are better with our money, and can spot a bargain easier.

Its basically because the cost of living down south is more. Its not rocket science.
The rust theory is just plain ridiculous.

It is because lemonade is cheaper than beer, so they realise that Southerners have a lot more expendable income from drinking lager tops. FACT.

Ive always been of the impression that cars are cheaper in the south of england. I know plenty people that have jumped on a plane to pick up a car from London & the surrounding areas & drive it back up. Hell ive almost done it myself, the guy that owned my M3 before had it brought up from South England. Theres a far wider selection aswell than up here, thats probably why the prices are better!!
