Well we all knew it anyway, but he's cutting all ties soon.
Ron Dennis was in charge for 28 years as team principle. Taken the likes of Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Mika Häkkinen and Lewis Hamilton to world championships.
He hates Max Mosely though....
So is it a good thing, or a bad thing he's moving on (at the moment, bad thing, see Lewis court issue)? Sure the teams had an initial setback by 1 person who's no longer working for them (sacked)..
But Ron has a huge amount of experience with the worlds best..
So, good thing or bad thing about Witmarsh taking over and Ron stepping down from McLaren totally?

That'll be Hamilton leaving Mclaren at the end of the year then; don't see him staying with the current team atmosphere and with his mentor leaving - replace Kim Raikkonen at Ferrari maybe or go to Brawn if they do well and Barrichello retires?

As above ^ Hes not getting good press this year, could see him leaving anyway regardless of Dennis going or not, I know its the only team hes ever been with since he was a kid but at the end of the day hes there to race and there to win, not be caught in politics, which Im sure all the drivers are seething about, I know I would be

Is he just leaving the F1 side completely or the whole of McLaren?
As he owns 15% of the company, and as a company they are making some huge steps forward in the next few years and I cant see him not wanting to be a part of that.

Leaving F1 side of it. He'll be around every so often with personnal advice (bit like Schuey at Rarri).
net worth of £200 million so im sure he'll be ok financially

I dunno, 28 years, umpteen world championships.....
He's had some huge names driving for him previously.
Sadley I think McLaren is REALLY going to suffer, as already shown in a very poor car in 09, and also the poor decision in terms of the whole Aussie communications scandle.
