My exhaust was blowing from the down pipe, so I whipped off the manifold and down pipe and there was two cracks in the manifold itself an crack round the weld on the Cat and a crack on the flange where the downpipe bolts to the manifold

Anyone else had this problem?

Got this problem at the moment, the only thing holding my centre section on is a guard that goes over where it joins the back box.

Ive welded the down pipe/cat, now ive jut got to get someone to weld my manifold or find a new one.

rear bank manifold on my vectra needs welding around the egr pipe bit. its been blowing since about 5 days after i bought the car. really should get it sorted.

This was making it make a loud ticking noise when warm which was getting irritating, I was expecting a small hole in the down pipe.

What sort of places can weld cast?

Apparently you can weld it with mig....but I haven't got a mig welder


I might see if I can get a uncracked one from a breakers
.

I've always believed Vauxhall manifolds come from the factory pre-cracked as I dont think I've ever seen one that wasnt cracked lol!

Well my manifold has got two cracks in it, one is hairline and one is not so hairline.

Ive found an uncracked one in a breakers which I am picking up later.
