I tried fitting my 328i exhaust system there, as usual rusty bolts everywhere...I get pissed off and give up
Probably get a garage to do it, since I will end up smashing something.

I too think thats well overpriced.
Wouldnt pay no more than £2k for a good condition Mtec 318is late spec model.
As said,328i sports are going for crazy cheap money and arent actually much more to insure compared to a 318is.And u get alot of car for the money.

Ah i put some of ths valverline stuff on the bolts and left it 20 mins, Also helps when you have a huge breakers bar.
Suprisingly the bolts on mine were alright, the guy who had it before me had it garaged for years so its kept well.
