The Mrs needs new tyres on her Meriva, it currently has 185/60/15 on it, I've noticed there is far more choice available in 185/55/15, is there any reason why that size would be unsuitable for the car?

Doub't it, i'de suppose it would make it handle abit better as there would be less roll from the tyres.

As long as you have two of the same size on each axle, your fine.

Its just a slightly lower profile, in theory the ride would be firmer and the speedo will be less accurate but i doubt you would notice. Might drive a bit funny if your only changing 1.
