On Audis (or atleast the one i saw) when they indicate the day time running light for the side which is indicating goes off.

ive noticed that on two audi's, first time i thought bit of dodgy wiring maybe-but surely not on a new car? then when i noticed it on another i gathered its suppose to happen and felt dumb lol

new fiat bravo does the fog light trick aswell but only with the indicator.

He means the side lights.. If you turn on the indicators with the ignition off the side lights for the side you are indicating to come on.

I saw it in my rear view mirror as he took the slip road off the motorway.
The sidelights/daytime running lights were on.
He indicated to take the slip road - left
The left DRL went out, left indicator came on, the right DRL stayed on

whats the need for the fog light one? seems pointless imo just makes your car look broken
I've never once been going round a corner and though ooo i could just do with one fog light coming on to help me round this corner.

Exactly Makes it looks broken and surely you'll be able to see less.
Unless you're driving round at night with them on when it's not foggy Then they want my breaker bar taking to both of them tbh.
Did wonder about doing that to some I know's car who has his fog lights on all the time because "it helps me see better" but then didn't want to get done for vandalism

I've always wondered this with the fogs, I find it utterly pointless, the amount of times I see it and think how can all these cars have foglights out. It's one of those pointless things they design to make their new car look like it has lots of new toys.
