Nah Davey, I think your car would've been quick, S2000's arn't that fast. My 106 gti was all over it on the way home (me in the 106 and my dad in the s2000) tho vtec probably hadn't kicked in
What spec is your 1.8?
glad youve got one now Paul, but i reckon your Dad wasnt using full vtec range, i didnt even realise i wasnt for a while
oh and i'm in the red leather + dash club

yeh Rob I'm a lot more impressed with the car now i've learnt to drive it
It was level with OJC's Astra VXR nurburg from about 30 to 121 mph... and his made 250 bhp.
S2000's are 237 bhp standard. So not bad considering weight differences etc.
S2000 just isn't a 1st and 2nd gear car, once moving in 3rd or 4th it shifts... but off the line it's a slouch (which is why people think they're so slow imo).
On track however, you never use 1st or 2nd gear anyway... Lowest will be 3rd and most will probably be 4th.
But the handling is brilliant fun now i've got used to letting the back slip out and controlling it, it's hard to resist doing it every time I take a bend
Turning at some lights today, I just decided to get the back end out and slide it down the road
All I want to do is go down to a disused round about in a industrial estate and do circles

Yep same as everyone else like we were discussing on sunday.
Think its why alot of people dont like the civics as they only drive and 10 min test drive and then make a judgement from there.
Took me a good two weeks until I began to really like mine.

its meant to make them the car they should of been, yet to have a go of a mapped one but got well and truly spanked by 1 the other week. im not sure what map i fancy tbh, theres so many companies claiming different things, it will deffo be an rr map not a carpark 1, lmao vsport is however round the corner

Why definitely a rr map out of curiosity?
It's an engine that's been done to the death so apart from having mods it needs specifically mapped for there will be little to no difference apart from you get a rr printout.

the map makes it a totally differnet car, can hear the turbo spool then it starts pulling you all over the road.

just think it would be a better job tbh, a map designed for my car specificly, not for just a 1.8t with mods if you get me

no idea on 0-60 i'm still learning to drive it, its hard not to spin the wheels in 1st, not used to boost kickin in and then getting all the power as i've only ever had a celica vvti so the power delivery was slower and smoother.
