we see these for rebuilds quite often, mainly due to people sat flat out on the motorway. doing that WILL blow it up.
look after them like any performance car and itll be great.
flat out runs with blindly increased boost no doubt. They are so easy to get more power from that folk tend to forget about 'supporting' mods to enable safe use of boost.
First thing i did with white STi R was get it checked out on the dyno with DET cans and wideband. I wasnt comfortable with it boosting over standard without me know that the fueling was ok.
exactly, horror stories are there from people buying a 2k scooby and it lasting 20mins....
I got mine as a fresh import & it lasted 2 months before putting piston through the block at Santa Pod So buying i as a £4.5k car soon became a £7.5k car. Lasted slightly longer than 20 mins though

megan throphey will be alot more eco than a impreza turbo.
Mates brother (who left the keys on the side once ..... ) has a import wrx 1995 shape though, and it does about 180 miles to a tank knocking about and not giving it death.

That's nearly 15 years old though and it sounds like something's wrong with it Baskey, you won't get 30mpg at any point in time I don't think But 25mpg is possible. Ps; get a Blitz NUR spec exhaust. Job done.
