for arguments sake Im using a Civic type R because its the first car that came into my head that has a low torque figure compared to its bhp figure

CTR = 200bhp and 150 ft/lbs

Grande Punto = 130bhp and 215 ft/lbs

whats is torque? what can my car do that the civic cant?

where did you get that figure for a CTR from? I thought they were 150ft lbs......

Torque is a measure of the actual twisting force produced by the engine.

think the figures for the CTR was made up just to make a point.

Torque is ur pulling power. 5 people in ur car will drive better than 5 people in ur CTR example

bhp is just pub talk. actual torque is where its at and what gets you moving.
