I know most people are into Evo's but Im a Subaru man myself! Dont think Id go as old as a classic if your spending £8k though and an older Evo will cost a bomb to maintain!

Id probably go for a newer car where Subaru ironed out some of the classics engine problems........http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/823875.htm

my only concern is new scoobys are supposed to be slower ive seen an 04 390bhp scooby get smoked by a 300bhp classic.why is that are the new ones heavier

Yeah the new cars are about 200kgs heavier than the old cars but you are right about the classics smoking though!

In all fairness though as long as the classics are looked after they are fine but its just so many of them have been hammered and poorly modified you are taking a gamble! A nice classic isnt that easy to come by these days! If I were spending £8k Id def look at a newer car, they are so much better built these days as well!!

the newer scooby is meant to have alot better handling aswell
