would annoy me, not exactly ideal for the more hard to reach areas imo

good idea, i'm forever losing grip on the applicator pads which like to fall on the floor and get dirty

Quite the opposite was said over on Detailing World - windscreens (inside) etc were the places this would help with. Gimmicky, but will probably work well.
