I was out driving today doing the usual running around, and i parked in a car to go into the a shop and i saw this car with road tax that ran out in 2005!

There was a police officier stood across the road standing around, i am not saying that they should be running around car parks, but do something. I just left it at that, went down the road and there is street with 4 cars which have no road tax within their area.

I have seen these cars on the roads being driven too. I was just wondering if any other people had a high number of cars being driven without tax?

We have over 700 kurds/poles/slovaks working at our place and half of the cars in the car park didn't used to have tax. The company Security now check the car park daily and any not displaying tax are reported immediately. Very rarely happens now.

Why not just put the new tax disc in when it turns up? You won't forget that way

I was in a mates car and he got pulled over for not having his seatbelt on and he had his new tax disk in his glovebox and his old one still on display, the copper asked him to get his new tax disk out and he picked up a paper air freshener by mistake and handed it to the copper, he was not impressed.

Nah they are fucking useless

They sent a letter to my mum saying thankyou for declaring the car off-road, she replied saying it has never been off road, so for some reason they never sent her a reminder so she didn't check

Ran out in October, was replaced last month, was never contacted or pulled over

Useless system - my dad spotted it when washing her car for her otherwise it would still be out of date now

can get a hefty fine for not displaying, regardless if its in date or not, like £200 or something, it was on my letter when I got my tax the other day.
