Hey has anyone had the problem when drilling the airbox, that too much air is being sucked in? if it happens at all....?
and would it slightly increase fuel consumption? (MPG)
or what exactly happens when you do this?
im thinking about doing it but not 100% sure just yet

and does anyone have pics they could post up of how they did it, the ones on the help link arent showing the pics

I just makes more noise, probably will reduce fuel consumption because you put your foot down more to hear it.
Its a common thing that people say induction kits reduce fuel consumption, wouldn't say so IMO

On the 1.2 8V for definite just unclip the big panel at the base of the airbox - that'll do the trick!

as with the airbox above. on the C16 airbox just use a screwdriver to prise away the bottom of the airbox in the primary chamer and also remove any inner restrictions or resonators.

I think it sounds quite good for standard equipment, I still have a standard air filter in It's quite old but doesn't look that dirty
Btw, you only get the noise then you use more than about 3/4 throttle

Yeah, that small circle bit that sticks up is where the bottom restricter used to attach to. It's really easy to get out, either use a stanley knife to cut that bit off, or I drilled it The top one's even easier, just push it out

I used a screwdriver to brake the clips on mine.

Nope it was glued on I had to hammer screwdrivers through it then it popped off I think it unclips on pre-97 ones.
