Will be a right royal pain to do because it wouldn't be a bottle as such, you would need to make a square 'container' unless made with 3mm plate for the base and top and 'x'mm diameter pipe to form a round bottle- and yeh I'm a welder/fabricator

So you're saying you need at least 3mm thickness of plate for the top and bottom to make it round? If so, why?

Well the main reason would be for ease of welding and secondly its a good thickness for it being durable

But it doesn't actually need to be 3mm, just that you would prefer that. And the thickness wouldn't have anything to do with durability - it's originally made of plastic.
The way you said it seemed like it was impossible. I've seen similair stuff on an even smaller scale being made at the work.

Yeh if I was to make it I would use 3mm probably and in my opinion that thickness compared to something thinner is appropriate simply for the fact that when things are designed every equation is taken into account, therefore going much thinner can allow denting/cracking easier than something say 3mm....like I say,my opinion of it

Sound mate, just thought it sounded a bit odd when you said it at first.
Would be a weighty piece of kit made outta 3mm stainless right enough!

i am a coded tig welder. if your making a cilinder then it wont really have to be out of 3 you could go thinner is the shape of it would stop any disforming. are you wanting a repair or a new one made?

3mm is very much overkill. 1.5 would be fine. Once it rolled and welded with caps on either end, it will be solid
