I recently took out a new insurance policy & claimed I had 6 years NCB, as thats what I should have.
Got my proof of NCB off my old insurer & it states that ive got 5yrs (maximum) NCB.
I phoned them up & they said that 5yrs is the max that they award & thats all i'll get off them.
However my new ins co's expecting me to send them my proof, which ive claimed as being 6yrs.
Will this cause any strife? Or does it not matter after 5yrs?

5 years is the maximum they'll take into account. Maybe some places up to 7 but I've got 11 and on my last proof of no claims it stated it.

Ring them and say you got it wrong you thought it was 6 years but its only 5
easy mistake to make i imagine. i thought i had 4 years but i only had 3, but with me the form told me i was able to have 4 due to my age

Might phone back & ask them for something in writing then.
More hassle
