I'm about 6 foot 4, have 12/13 feet* and never EVER had any problems with the pedals in my 106.

I've had 4 Corsa's, 1.2, 1.0, 1.6 and 2.0.

I'd trade them all for a GTi.

I was going to get one once but never did as the seat doesn't go back far enough and I absolutely hated the pedals, when you press the throttle you have to put your foot sideways to stop it hitting the wheel arch bulge.

I owned my gti for a year and my XE corsa for 4 and would have the gti over the corsa all day long, yea the build quality is questionable on the pug but mine never had any rattles at all and I never had one thing break on me. The same can be said for the Nova that eveyone thinks is an amazing car, its a little rot box most of the time but its what people love

Its personal choice I guess just make sure that if you go for a pug its been very well looked after

I'd go for the GTi, I only bought mine as a runabout for a few months but I love it
