what would you expect to pay for a 2.0l 16valve red top with 100k miles. thats all i know about the engine, but from a well respected breakers yard "ace vauxhall" (with no gear box) suggestions please ! dont want get ripped off.

he said it never missed a beet before it was broke, do you think they would give you any garantee, because it was being put in a corsa, or would they just blame who ever fitrted it? that is if any thing ever happend

I would have just got a car with a redtop already in like i did the you have everything you need....

easily 400quid with a few months guarantee.
problem is most people get a redtop that has done over 100k and put it straight into there corsa and winge when they get problems.
by one cheap and rebuild it if your worried, or do as twiggy said so you can atleast drive the car its in

With breakers you usually get a months guarentee.

the 8v was cheap engine was 80quid then though i would always have the mount for the future.

I bought a redtop with 75K from a very recomended vauxhall breaker.
Engine with no box or ancillaries cost me £395. In order to get 3 months warrenty you have to put a full cambelt kit on.
