Hi ive got a corsa b and on the drivers side b pillar where the door closes has a crack/split which is rusting ive seen this on alot of them so im guessing is a common problem if it was resprayed im guessing would just rust through again quickly? so could the section be cut out and a new piece of metal welded in? or would this weaken the b pillar to much? had anybody outhere had this done and then resprayed with no problems??

i had mine done on my GSi, its an MOT Failure too as its within 12 inches of the seat belt

this is a very common problem on the earlier corsas , i think most people grind it back slam a weld over the crack tart it up and paint it
