I dont find any difference in the durability between hard and soft dodo waxes, just ease of use.
And the colour thing isn't really a huge difference - especially on a silver car.
I would suggest light fantastic, diamond white or rainforest rub for silver. I have rainforest rub due in stock or can get either of the other 2 for you

Dodo Juice waxes are VERY good!
I tried Petes 53 then DoDo Purple Haze shortly after, lots more depth and shine!
Your budget I'd be tempted to buy a DoDo Wax

Pete's 53.
Very good stuff. Particularly on black
Can you honestly notice a difference between that and any other wax you have tried?
I cant tell the difference between any of my waxes. Some last longer, some have tighter beading but they all look identical.
On a black car it is easy to tell the difference in appearance imo, although 90% of the work is done in the preparation and polishing stages.

Hard or soft should determine your buy - its down to preference when applying it.
Soft is generally easier to apply but doesn't last as long in terms of applications per pot, Hard is marginally harder to apply (all down to technique though imo) and will last longer per pot.
Dodo stuff is stupidly economical though - I've got a pot of Rainforest Rub from last year and done approx 25 cars with it and it's not really taken much out the pot!!
