Hey guys.
I've got the chance of swapping my Corsa B for a Mk3 Astra GSi.
I'm unsure what to do, i've put a lot of time and money into it, but CBA to drop a valver, and its sloow as fook.
I like the astra and it appears to be tidy & well looked after, lots of history with it, only downfall is that its an 'ecotec' 2.0....
What would you do, and why ?
Insurance/running costs arent an issue as i dont drive to work, purely for pleasure.

I wouldn't say it's a downfall really.

The 17s off the astra would rip the corsa's arches to pieces.
I like the astra as it is, i have alternative plans for it tho.

no cos they will look stupid on the astra.
the astra is nice mate, what are the rear arches like?
ecotec or not, will still be quicker than your corsa

Thats whats swaying me i want something a bit faster & more 'grown up'.
Arches are bubbling in the lip in the early stages, first thing i checked as my last Mk3 had bad arches.

If the arches are bubbling already i personally would walk away. They tend to go from the inside out.If you can,ask to take the rear door cards off and have a look.It may be worse than you think.I dont know about the P2 but the P1 suffers from it badly.
Im always on the lookout for a clean P1 Valver.Love them and would have another in a second.
What do you value your Corsa at and how much is the Astra going for??

I'd swap it. The Astra is faster and better looking.

I'm friendly with the boy who's got it so i'll wait and see what its like once i've had it up on a ramp and poked about.
I'm swaying more & more toward it.
