Its more than likely you will get one, to get it though, its his insurance that needs to ring a company (enterprise, etc), who will then ring you to sort the details.

his excess will be more than £165 so why the hell is he doing that?

Its a shame the bootlid has got a dent in it by the wiper hole but ahh well, call it £350 and be happy.

I thought the same. He is messing me about a treat at the moment. keeps changing his mind. Ive told him its too late now. I've started the claim and notified both insurers. They have rang him now and he admitted liablity so just waiting for his insurance to get things rolling

Some scooter boy almost went into the back of me a few months back. I saw the traffic slowing so i braked hard 1st then he got the point and back off only for his mate not to see this and they crashed into each other If only the traffic hadn't started moving i would have got out and taken pics of them and pointed and laughed a lot.

take it back to the garage and ask them to re quote you and just say to insurance company u have seen more damage on the boot lid, if u go to a small private bodyshop they will sort something out for you, may have to pay a small amount more to smooth the wiper but only £50 or so. well worth it.

Tbf i'd go through insurance anyway, that way you're fully covered legally, plus will probably cost him more in higher premiums now and for next 5 years

Sorry to hear about this mate - hope you manage to get it sorted

On a bit of a grandad note - this threads getting a bit dodgy (ie talking about screwing the other guy over) for a public forum. Only takes him to look on here because he saw the CS stickers in your car and he'll see this thread and there could be trouble. More of a Preem Lounge thread now me thinks

Dont worry mate. As much as he deserves it for driving like an idiot I would never do something like that.
