Went down the A299 in Kent this morning from Herne Bay on my way to work (towards london) and noticed that the opposite lanes were empty, i was travelling down with a lorry and 2 cars when we come to a tunnel with the lights flashing red... The lorry and the car went through so i followed. The other side we see around 70 cars all stopped coming from london... I thought, right obviously theres been an accident somewhere... Nothing prepaired me for what i was about to see..!!! as i was coming round the corner about 1/4 mile after the traffic on the other side ended i saw a ambulance skidding to a stop on its side lights going. 200m's after that were 2 cars and a van parked on the grass side and 2 people from the van jumped out to run over to the ambulance... my heart was going some i tell ya!!!
I then got to the traffic my side and waited there for 30mins before they diverted traffic off the whitstable turnoff. I see a car on the grass to my left that hit a tree, a clio on the whitstable sliproad motorway side smashed up, another car up the sliproad on the grass and about 5 police cars... MENTAL.
Someone further up apparently lost there life in a BMW and another car had overturned (i didnt see this)
