Bloody hell! That's a bit steep.
I'd be amazed if it went for the estimated minimum.

My Moonstone RS500 has a black RS500 on one side of it and a white RS500 on the other side. They go in my 'Sierra Cosworth row'
So there's no room in that bit of the garage.
The Lotus Carlton would either go with my other Lotai or next to/near Baby Bertha etc.

I think I'd give my sterling for an Impreza 22B instead, perhaps an Escort Cosworth would be considered too...

Would I buy one fore £20k, no chance.....
Not when a few years ago they were happily going for £10k-£15k, so thats over-priced.
LCartlons are great, but its only 377bhp in a big heavy car, i'd much rather have a VXR500 or something.
And lets face it, the interior on Carltons isn't exactly "stunning" is it
Hard to get more reliable power from them too as the engines already in quite high stress form. Runs two T25's I think, but putting T3's requires most of the engine to be strengthened. I've heard of one running about 450bhp, but that litterally had a full engine upgrade, pistons, crank, rods etc....

I'd buy it and put the engine in a corsa.
If I had another couple of million in the bank

Every day of the week. Expensive but if you're buying one it needs to be right.
Although there was a GSi 3000 needing a rebuild went through for 300 quid the other day. Could get that mint for a fraction of LC money!

Thier just not the kind of car you see everyday and you wouldnt use it everyday and if you think about it what other vauxhall based car of that age fetches good money. I did say spare cash and it is a classic imo
