only crap thing is you get 195/50/16's for either the yoko's or the toyo's and as the side wall is a lot squarer, they caught like fook on mine so had to raise the front end a fair bit. still needs to go a bit higher really. 15's are better, as theyre cheaper plus you can pick up vauxhall 15" alloys quite cheap anyway.
edit, toyo r888's 195/50/16's cost me 79 quid each

asymetrical means the tyre will have an inside and an outside,
if it is also directional, it will have to be facing forward
Think about it,. it will only go on ONE way

Some tyres are both asymmetrical and directional. These tyres carry markings on the sidewall which a) indicate the correct direction of rotation and b) identify the inner- and outward-facing sides. Failure to observe these instructions will impair tyre performance. The above recommendations will also apply.

thats what i said though
so if you get a directional tyre and look at it, the arrow will either point right or left with the tread, thats why when i get my tyres i have to specify which side it is, you can also get tyres that are not directional and CAN go on any side.

NO
Directional tyres can go anywhere.
Asymmetrical tyres can go anywhere
Directional & Asymmetrical tyres combined in 1 tyre cannot, they must only go on one side
The tyres you buy sand-eel are directional, and your being a numpty

i have worked in the motor trade for the last 5 years, and deal with dunlop, conti and goodyear directley on a daily basis and have never ordered "sided" tyres
they may exsist, but ive never seen them on a uk passenger car

"Some very high performance cars have directional and asymmetric tyres – these have to be fitted the right way round on the wheel and on the correct side of the vehicle."
