Just try some insurance quotes to see what you can afford, look on parkers for ideas of whats quick and whats not. I only found out my car existed because of parkers! (never heard of a 1.6 sport ibiza before)

exactly end of the day 3 series is'nt special..... bmw are not special anymore there affordable

get a e36 318, not to bad on insurance and got 140bhp as standard, im 21 car parked on the road and 1 yr ncb and got 3 points and its only £800 a year

and also may add great fun in the wet and the coupe is always a good looker if you get the m-tec kit (Y)

the 318is is 140bhp the normal one is 115bhp or something, my 323i was the same cost to insure as a 318is.

lmao im 20 with 1 year ncb and cant find tpft insurance less than 1400 for my group 15 golf gti, saxo vts etc no go

You'll spend a ridiculous amount on insurance on a 172 VTR, tune the fecker, strip it...Fun and cheap insurance.

Thanks Fadly...I think I've had a VTR, RR'd at 113bhp. Not much, but stripped out it was a hell of a lot of fun, and just as quick as a GTi in a straight line upto silly speeds.

On Saxo Sports Club a VTR with no rear seats, a decat and full exhaust system and a Ram inductionkit ran a 15.8. Sports with even a Mantzel strunggle to get into the 15's tbh
