What happens if you dont hand a notice in and give 2 weeks, do you lose out on pay or something?

Think its only temps that would miss out on pay, if your fulltime and have worked it, they have to pay you it, unless its company policy to give 2 weeks notice

But if you dont need a reference & dont think you'll ever be returning then fuckit 
Jades contract states she needs to give a months notice, though she never signed it - A month in an admin position is alot when youve only been there just over a year. Shes seeing it through though & luckly her new employer was ok with it.

Normally if your sticking within the same industry then notice periods are usually around the same so they expect it.
I've always been on 30 days notice

if your contract states a leaving period you must stick to it or they can take you for breach of contract.

I gave 4 hours notice The managing director was a bit pissed off like, everyone else including my service manager congratulated me and were happy for me getting out of there. Im going back tomorrow morning to do a forigner with my old workmate

2 Weeks at my place and they let you use the holiday you have left too

My situation is I have to go back to Epsom to work this weekend, im also down to work on monday and xmas eve so wont be able to come home til the evening on xmas eve. I dont mind working this weekend but me and the ladys anniversary is on monday and its my best mates birthday, hes having a gathering in the evening, really wish I could be there. So tempted to tell them im not working it but I dont want to lose out.

Out of respect you give your employer at least 2 weeks notice regardless. If you want to be a prick, which you clearly are then just clear off.

I was told by someone I used to work with that legally if you have worked for someone, they cannot refuse a reference, or give a bad reference.. regardless of the circumstances. The worst they can say about you is yes this person worked here.
Not sure if this is 100% true as I've not looked into it myself.
