Just buy the rollback roof and get it welded in - seem the easier way these day, whilst you're at it get a oval or split rear window grafted in, and a twin oval dash, and a cabrio decklid.........

Genuine ragtop shell would be worth a bit now I'd imagine? What year is it?
I'm assuming it's a big window
Shouldn't worry about the bottom 6" - it's almost a expected thing to have to replace that doing a resto these days lol

its a 68, but tbh its an oddball, it had the ragtop put in by some company in london many many years ago(think when new, but i never got any paperwork off my mate it got it from.

i think ill definately do another one, but has to be a cgae'd ragtop, pref pre 63

'68 so it'll be a early stand up headlight model?

Mine was a early '67 and one of the last sloping light models I think, also had early US small red rear lights, W decklid, long bonnet, chrome blade bumpers, EMPI 5's, one piece windows.....and it was purple with colour coded wheels - SoCal FTW

By god it was cool, impractical as fuck but so so cool!

first car i had 4years ago when past test was a 69 semi auto converted to manual.
1776cc, ported stock valve heads, twin 40 dcnf's on gene berg folds, engle w110 cams, CW crank.

spax all round, f560 205/70/15 on rears, debumpered, traction bar, torque bar, stripped out, etc, mate who bought the shell reckons when launching it was lilfting the front. made 115@wheels at 6k...dont know why it went so well but made 30bhp more than mates 1914 oval with BV heads, webcam 109cam, merged header etc.

awesome at traiffic lights, proper cal-look
