They are fantastic cars!!

I love them, I am trying to justify buying one later in 2009

Awaits the usual "hair dressers car" comments, from those people who drive such sports cars as corsas

TBH ive never been that much of a fan, especially the rear-end, but the more I look, im selling them to myself. Never driven one . . . might see if I can at some point soon, think that will make my mind up.

Poor mans Porsche. Someone is bound to say it.

I like them though, they are supposed to be great to drive. Plus whether its a poor mans Porsche or not, its still a Porsche. I'd imagine running costs/maintenance could be costly though.

Yeah, poor mans 911 but still a good car! I'm sure no one on here would turn their noses up at one. The only real insult you can give a Boxster is that it isn't an S!!

Exactly, most people jump on the poor mans prosche bandwagon, but they look very comfy and I bet they dont hang about, ive read they are good round the corners and tbh, if you get a nice colour, they look the nuts.

I can imagine running costs might be a little high, but i think it would be worth it. Theres on on pistonheads now, 1998, 56k, FSH, £7,200, bargain imo.

I'd have a boxter S meant to be great cars. Wouldn't go for a non-S though. Not a poor mans one, just not a "proper" porsche imo.

the first boxters are a bit of a no no as they have only 200bhp, S version has 230bhp i think, then later 250bhp then 300bhp for the newest ones.

so much shit comes up everytime they are mentioned on here.

Do your research, read the reviews, blag a test drive, they are brilliant.

none are slow.

Ignore the womens car comments, its they same as mx5's, puma's etc all brilliant to drive, I find it amazing people won't drive great cars because of the image, maybe its just me.
