I finaly found out 2day y me cars been splutterin. at about 2 thou revs.... The crank shaft sensor is knackered. Been quoted £60 fitted from the garage.

when it is fitted then say its fixed not before.

what engine is that?mine went last week(x12xe) so got a new one for £16 and fitted it my self, ten minute job.

and most paperclip tests throw up the css cos the engine is off

its a 1.2 16v. it was tested on the computer when the engine was runnin.

It's a piece of cake to change yourself.

Jack the front up high enough to lie underneath.
It's at the back of the engine pretty much in line with the drivershaft, unplug the multiplug, undo the bolt (E-10 i think).
Swap it over plug new one in bobs yer uncle.
