All the street lights in the area are out, its very very dark

wonder if theyve been turned off for a few hours every night as a cost saving solution to the credit crunch

thats not such a stupid idea; My local council is turning off 1 in 4 street lights after midnight to be more eco-friendly and Christmas lights which used to be on all day and night come on at about 3pm and turn off at midnight

In my experience it doesn't matter if you're in a fully lit street with traffic going past, people will still try to rob you.
