The system at our student house appears to run around 1.0 bar or just over, but has reached 2.2-2.5 bar at times... Don't know if thats any help. I assume its different for each setup though?

You'll need more information to work out the pressure

well ive tried loking on there. Seems to be 2 types of system. Sealed and open. Sealed systems, the pressure supplied from the boiler is around 1 bar as mase says.

I dont know if that is the pressure exerted on the pipes though?

I would presume it would be

Our house is also set at 1.1/1.2 bar. That's suppossed to be the 'normal' operating pressure according to the owners manual.
