Wondering for those who ride those motorised bicycles, what the opinion is on Daytona boots?? As just ordered some of these...

Been recommended by a few places purely through quality and such, just want to see if anyone has any daytona-made boots & what they think

Daytonas.
Best winter boots you can get really.
I couldn't afford a set (couldn't justify £300 on winter only boots (or £250 at the shows!!!)) so I got the next step down boots, but virtually the same.
But yes, Daytonas are excellent winter boots. Wouldn't use them in the summer though.
I'd cancel your order though, and go to the NEC bike show this/next week, save yourself £50 on the boots, pay your ticket in, and have a day out.

I don't have time to get to the show though, as got 3 assignments due in uni next week, nor can I guarantee they will have the size I need at the show (51's)

Oh they will have it. They have everything you need at the shows.
Im not assed, pointing out a money saving/day out.
But yes, Daytonas are very good winter boots. And i've only just started using my winter boots this week, so getting to the right time of year.
High vis ves for winter riding recommended. Yes you look very weird and like a lightbulb, but
a) stops rainflow build up in jacket (like a super waterproof outside lining)
b) safer, MUCH safer, esp when riding down dark roads. MUCH more visable.

The summer versions are also probably the best on the market, pricey but you can replace the inner sock/outer boot as needed. I would think the winters are just as good really.

I wouldn't wear one due to the "lame" factor, but then my jacket started letting water in and I needed a quick fix.
High Vis jacket stopped all the rain hitting the jacket, hence the jacket stayed drier on the outside, hence the inside, hence me nice and dry still.
And visually people would move quicker, cars could see you better.
Lame, but a lifesaver, so notsolame
*Im yet to put mine on this winter, but 1+hr previous and 20min trip now, against the traffic, means its not so needed*
