I bet it wont go as well as it did on a soft surface.
Did you do a masters in physics to come up with that conclusion?
No.I was meerly pointing out that u can drift anycar on sand.U could do it in a fwd car by pullin the handbrake and it would still look as good.
Even a RWD car without a slipper could do that. Its no biggy really.
And if that was a new member who had just joined and posted something that like, they wouldve got flamed.

^^ got to agree tbh, about if it was an unknown user that put the vids up. Personally I don't care, as long as the person's not crashing into me they can do whatever they like. But other more 'mature' (boring) people would have ripped an unknown apart.
And for the record, you'd struggle to do it like that in a FWD car. Even on sand.

Doing it on the beach is just as bad as doing it on the road. Its a public place(like the open road) and isnt a controlled environment where it is "legal" to do such activities.
Ok if its fun doing it at the time, but i wouldnt be poting it on the net or youtube.

It was hardly what id call "drifting" tho.It just looked like it was going round in a big circle then spun out.Pulling the handbrake would get a FWD car more out of shape.

Disagree.
Do a quick risk assessment, if there's no-one/nothing to crash into within a reasonable distance then go for it. I know that if I had a similair car I would.
Just watch out for 5-0h.

Exactly.Youve just made it very clear. Why watch out for the 5-0 if its all good and theres nothing to crash into??I dont think they would share the same attitude.
Go do it on a roundabout in the wet or even better the snow. Then post up what happens.

I dont see how its just as bad as doing it on the open road though, what or who is around for me to crash into should the worst happen? The only bad that could come out of it would be damage to my own car for which I would be fully responsable, im hardly putting anyone else at risk or causing damage to and public property.

So your saying its fine to do it in say a wide spaced carpark that has no obsticles in the way??I'll need to tell my mate as he got fucked for it.Granted the coppers did go easy on him as he done it out the way,but he didnt get off with just a slap on the wrist.

Car park owners may be pissed off at the skid marks eveywhere though, but the beach (which you are allowed to drive on) is covered in tyre marks anyway. I probably wouldn't do it if there were a police car on the beach watching me cos its just asking for trouble, but I dont mind uploading the videos on the internet.
