was thinking of getting rid of it for around 1000? (900-950 maybe) adding a couple weeks pay (500) and getting myself a lower mileage corsa C 1.2 for around 1500? Is this a good idea? Or will Corsa C's around that price be a bit s**t?

Corsa C's for that price will be shit, but you might find a decent one! You never know your luck.

i got offered a corsa c as a swap for my punto...
the corsa c was a 2000 1.0 12v base model heap of crap with well over 100k and thats was priced at 1500.00
not worth it

I just paid £500 for a near immaculate R reg 1.0 corsa b with only 24k on the clock and one owner if thats anything to go by which was a bargain - same spec on autotrader are up for £900-1000+
