i will be keeping an eye on the one on ebay, would have liked one with less miles tho

aren't the 480 a 1.7 turbo?
don't know what you need it for, but can't you run a 2.3T ?

1.7 turbo 120bhp
check on ebay - for complete cars, there is a gulf in price between high mile tatty ones and minters.
obviously location is a factor but new ones are always going on week to week
the turbos (for obvious reasons) are more pricey, upwards of £500 for a complete car worth having.
i know of a mint 60k mile turbo that sold for £1100 for example.
look out for something called the 'rich mod' - it's an ecu mod some guy on the 480 forums was doing - apparently he's not doing them anymore - it's a good mod so they say.
it's sacrilage to kill a perfectly good car really, they're a modern classic tbh.

looking for the right one is hard and location too. i have seen many that i would have snapped up but i dont want to go 300+miles for one
yeah i have had alook on the 480 forum about the 'rich mod' that was on my list of things to do
im off to see a local clio rsi thats already running the 480T engine so see how well that is and maybe be coming home with that
i would really like to do my own tho so i know its been done right no corners cut ect

there easy enough to get good power out of them with not much money to be spent with just a chip your looking at anywhere arounf 140 to 170bhp
