Had my daily runner on the RR today for a laugh, Its a C18XEL Astra Sport

Made 148.1bhp / 144.4ft lbs !

The cars standard bar a panel filter, and has done 199k miles!!

I just found info saying that standard they are 105bhp

I've given the car death for the last 130k miles i've owned it, wants for nothing, sounds spot on, and uses no oil and water!

Happy days

I've always found that engines are at their best just before going bang.

my mate in his 1.4 8v was keeping up with me, said its realy fast atm

next set of traffic light, steam starts pouring out the bonnet, coolant hose blow up!

(due to headgasket was going, and pressuised the coolant up so much!)

pmsl, I was waiting for the first RR wrong post!!

Coolant hose isnt really an engine going bang ????

Also for the other 30 cars on the rollers, the figures were right??

TBH it drives like its got more that 148bhp, the cars will pull off the clock to the limiter in 5th, my GTE 16v, GSi. Corsa 2.0l's have never done that

so head gasket?

Thats a couple of hour job fixing! hardly an engine going bang!!

Snapping rods, blowing holes in the block, melting pistons is more "going bang" to me.

head gaskets generally will get weak with age
