Ok....

It's either the Piranha idea or some Peacock Bass as I like the look of them...

Yeah they do look cool.

My next tank is a huge Rhombeus piranha (about 18" like the one below) and then a community tank around that - as with him being so large he wont be interested in anything smaller than a few inches!

Will probably have him in a 6fter, although he could go in a 5ft without a problem.

I have owned a few 5ft tanks and a 7ft tanks all of which I have stocked with various types of Piranha - so yeah

Yes and no.

If the Piranha is a decent size and you design areas in the tank where smaller fish can hide if needed then yes. You'll always get casualties though so wouldnt put expensive tankmates in there.
