want to get some black wheel nut covers for the focus but i'm not sure how they stay on? are they known to come off whenever they feel like it?
these are basically them, although i want black ones, not gay chrome.

Interference fit. They're tight enough to stay on, loose enough to pull off.

Nope.
Vauxhall/VAG cars come with a special tool to remove them.
You won't get them off without one of them or some longnosed pliers.

My Corsa C ones just push on over the metal nuts.
As Robin says - tight enough to hold on, loose enough to pull off. Never lost one of mine yet!
Just don't use acid based wheel cleaner on them otherwise they'll be buggered lol.
Alternatively, paint your existing metal ones

They just slide on tight enough to stay on. I used to have them on the Astra. One or two might go missing every now and then (hit a bump or whatever) but they were cheap enough to replace so I had loads of spares lying about.

I've got a set of black bolt covers on my Corsa, bought off eBay but came in brand new GM packaging.
Mine hasn't got the tool to remove them at all, but they pull off extremely easily - I've never had an issue, and when I was watching my tyre fitter at work last week, they were fine too.
I've also never lost one at all, and they have been on about 8 months, great little things to be fair!
