I don't think it could have got much worse, well not without something pretty extreme happening!
We set off from York at 5pm, going by train which would have given us plenty of time seen as though the game kicked off at 8. Never had a problem for time yet. The train kept on stopping en route for one reason or another, problem with the signals, other lines needing to cross etc etc. Our train ended up being delayed by 30 minutes all in. So the total time took best part of 2 hours We got to the station and there was no Metro, the line at the station has been dug up and out on the road they've tarmacced over it! We were already late! Walked a few hundred yards and got on at Market Square. Then on the way back, stood in the biggest queue ever for Burger King and it gets to 11 and a guy comes out saying they're closing and the manager tells them to throw the food that was in the shelves in the bins As my train home wasn't for an hour it was back in to Manchester to find a Subway! Had some annoying posh southern bird all the way back from Leeds to York too Hate trains!

They are pathetic TBH, they seem to be getting a bit of reputation these days.
They smashed up a station in Ipswich a few months back, got off the train and caused a load of problems. Was a small local railway station as well, so nobody about to beat their lips off.
