On a VW POLO can you lock the boot from inside? As my lock has broke. The key doesn't seem to fit in the lock!

And when i start the car under the bonnet it seems to make a ticking sound, i checked the oil but thats fine could it be a new cambelt needed?

What shape Polo? no doubt the key will fit fine, it just wont turn cause it will be seized up (cause they work with the central locking, people never actually put the key in the boot lock) the amount of Golf's/Polo's i have done at work having a new boot, always need new locks then cause its seized.

Nar it doesn't fit in the actualy lock lol! And mine is a 95 model. It's an MK4!
