I'm driving a minibus from Birmingham to Edinburgh in 2 hours.
It's bloody restricted to 100kph
I wonder If I could fit 17 people in the Punto?

Lots of comanies are restricting there vans to 70mph.
Royal Mail, RAC, John Martin.
They're doing it to try and save fuel for the company, but they don't limit the revs so you can cain it up until 70mph leaving the whole enviromentally friendly part useless

Its rubbish, you get to about 70mph, then the fuel pump cuts out and it feels like it's about to stop

Yea, but it takes a little while to kick in. So you're overtaking someone whos doing 59, then you end up getting stuck

Yepp, might be one of the LDV's, or we might get a Transit because one of the LDV's is smashed up and the other ones are less than reliable...

The one I've been given is sloooooooooow. I don't think even think de-restricting it will do much help with 17 people and luggage

Dont think there is a seperate one? Minibuses at uni could be driven on normal liscence, had to take a test with somebody from uni just to make sure you could drive it but nothing official

The dvla site doesn't make it easy to read as always but it says you need class D1 to carry between 8 and 16 passengers?
That's possibly only if they are being charged?

Yea you are correct John - you can drive a minibus and carry up to 16 people, as long as you are doing it free.
You need to do your PCV licence if you want to start charging people though.
