And no - it's not spunk....

Helping a friends son do some work on his mountain bike and we've pulled off the stickers and will be putting on a custom logo for him (if Splatgrafix ever get's back to me.....), the old stickers we've removed from the frame have left behind some nasty sticky residue shizzle - is there anything I can get just by walking into Halfords (or similar) going to the counter, paying and leaving?
Don't wanna damage the paint as it's in good nick

Autoglym intensive tar remover, some soapy water would probably work.

or, being logical - nail polish remover.

I'm guessing you don't need much and the active ingredient is acetone, should do the trick

Nail polish remover - good shout!
If not then panel wipe

I don't reckon hot soapy water would touch it John - it's really fucking encrusted on and sticky as shit! The water will probably just stick to it!

There is actually an off the shelf product called Sticky Stuff Remover - usually found in places like Lakeland etc.

Its not shite as I used to use it quite often for debadging etc before I started getting bulk valeting stuff! Worked better than AG Tar remover I found.

IIRC, a mate uses clutch and brake cleaner too

Standard thinners is good honestly. Used it to desticker the whole of my van. Test a small bit first though. Brake cleaner can sometimes make it duller and not as effective.
