I know that it's VERY straightforward in the RS1800, something about having to use the dipstick tube and a few other bits from the 1800.

Probably not so straightforward in the 1.25 16v.

Check out

www.fiestaturbo.com, they have a 2.0 16v conversion guide.

150bhp zetec or 150bhp xe, xe would piss it all day long... so depends if that ka has any tweaks, guessing it does if its got omex managment..

needs to be a decentish spec to keep up/beat an xe tbh..

my mates got a 1.8 zvh turbo'd ka (RR @ 262bhp at 16psi)

now thats a quick ka lol..

Why not? 150bhp 2.0 16v in what essentially is lighter than a Corsa? Neck and neck IMO.

My RS1800 has a superb engine, 130bhp free revving no flat spots.

wouldnt be neck and neck at all mate, honestly xe corsa would beat a 2.0 16v fiesta in standard spec..

What 2.0 16v Fiesta are you talking about? 136bhp one? IIRC Butler's brother has a 2.0 16v XR2i which isn't shy.

I'll go out on a limb now and say my RS1800 wouldn't be far behind a XE.

Not really the most suitable forum to post such a specific question on is it?!

fiestaturbo.com will help you out no end - virtually everyone knows what they're talking about so will be able to help you out

the duratec 2.0 is a very understated engine i think it would keep with a xe but the xe will feel faster as it has a much more aggresive power delivery.. set of cams and a custom exhaust and you should shock a few people..

Tell you what i bet in standard form,it would be a very close call,if not 1-0 to the fiesta.
Totally understated. My mate found this out when he had a play off the lights with 1 in his XE corsa and it pulled away from him.It must have been down to the weight tho.It was a mk3 fiesta but the lower spec without the full bumpers etc.
Theres a nice SI on PH the now for £1200.

i reckon a fezzie rs1800 wouldnt be far off a xe corsa, its lighter, for a start and if they both have suspension mods the fezzie will be on a corsa. corsa's take a lot of work to handle properly, a fezzie doesnt.

ive had and built a few, my track fezzie xr2 engine'd lil bugger would have kept with a xe corsa

some ppl need to take there corsa blinkers off.
