is it worth the £30 they are on ebay? i can shift mine pretty quick anyway, but dont no what one would feel like. are they any good?

my friend has one in his 106, looks cool and when you first try it it feels like stirring coal. as to the difference in shift times i have no idea.

stirring coal? so it makes it hard to move? are they easy to fit? im pretty compitent with this sort of stuff.

well, i dont know if its the same but my mates gti has a B&M one and unlike a standard shift which is smooth and easy you have to push it into each gear, not forcefully but more force than what you would do with a standard one

Got one on my LET. It 's a bit wierd at first, and you can easily select the wrong gear if it's a little bit out. But once you get used to them they are pretty good, and gear selection feels better.

Just undo the old one from the linkage and put the new one in. Aslong as you align the linkage properly when you put it back on, or as said you could end up putting it in the wrong gear, which could have some bad consequences.

Same for me, I had some teething troubles with mine finding 5th it dramatically reduced the throw from 4th to 5th and first time I gave mine some right foot action I popped the linkage off trying to find where 5th used to be

excellent once fitted, mine was a little bit of a pain in the arse getting all gears (F28) but I can imagine going back to standard
