Its easy enough to say do it, but with your own money would you really?
Personally I wouldn't. Its as old as the hills and for only a few miles drive a day, is there much point?
To track from time to time, definately, but otherwise not for me.

It would be used everyday, and probably given a good run on a weekend. Would even attempt a few RWYB days and possably track days if i got the chance.

Fair enough the Sierra will be quick and still a "cossie" but its still a wank old ford sierra, the saphire cossies aren't exactly cream of the crop are they.
I imagine you could get a newer better car for what you would be paying for the sierra.

Know the lad you mean, mike, he currently has a mint rs500. Aparantly the black one you are on about has been stripped and sold on, And the engine was going into an escore the last i heared,
I saw him in the rs500 a while back, he was behind me at the lights at the bottom of Prescot Road, we was both turning back up Borough Road and as I pulled away all I heard was screeching tyres, looked in my mirror to see him coming up behind me sideways

Go for it! I've got a wee soft spot for the sapphies, definate council estate chic.
You could easily use this as a daily driver but personally i'd pick up a binner 1.2/ corsa fiesta etc... for the daily commute
